Product description
The 7674 screw is a solid stainless steel screw designed for fixing profiles and sandwich panels to a steel substructure. It is not self-tapping and requires pre-drilling, but offers the highest level of corrosion resistance. With lengths ranging from 50 to 260 mm, it is also suitable for particularly thick panels.

for fixing profiles / sandwich panels to timber substructures
and steel beams ≥ 1.25 mm
Typical applications
The 7674 screw is used wherever the highest level of corrosion resistance is required on a steel structure. Typical applications include:
- Fastening of sandwich panels and profiles to steel beams from 1.25 mm
- Applications with increased requirements for corrosion resistance
- particularly thick panels thanks to lengths of up to 260 mm
- Outdoor applications and indoor environments with high humidity
The screw is designed as an A2 all-stainless-steel screw with a hexagonal head (SW 8) and a support thread, featuring an A2 sealing washer and a thread diameter of 6.3 mm. It is not self-tapping; pre-drilling is required, and it is suitable for steel thicknesses of 1.25 to 10 mm. It is available in lengths of 50, 64, 75, 90, 100, 115, 130, 150, 175, 200, 220, 240 and 260 mm. It is approved for use on roofs with or without a cap.
When should you choose this screw?
The 7674 screw is the right choice when maximum corrosion resistance from solid stainless steel is required on a steel substructure, or when particularly thick panels of up to 260 mm are to be fixed. For a timber substructure, the 7654 screw is the appropriate counterpart. If a self-tapping bi-metal screw without pre-drilling is sufficient, the 7570 or 7575 screws are the easier-to-use alternatives, depending on the thickness of the substrate. You can find an overview of all screws in the ‘Screws’ category.

- Wall panels, such as the 100 mm wall panel: Sandwich panels – wall.
- Screw 7654 as a fully stainless steel version for timber: Screw 7654.

Frequently asked questions
How does the 7674 screw differ from the 7654?
Both are all-stainless-steel screws that require pre-drilling. The 7674 is designed for a steel substructure of 1.25 to 10 mm, whilst the 7654 screw is designed for timber. The choice depends on the material of the supporting structure.
What does ‘all-stainless steel’ and ‘non-self-tapping’ mean?
‘All-stainless steel’ means that the entire screw is made of stainless steel, which offers the highest level of corrosion resistance. ‘Non-self-tapping’ means that a pilot hole must be drilled before driving the screw in, as the screw does not have a self-tapping tip.
When is a solid stainless steel screw preferable to a bi-metal screw?
A solid stainless steel screw is worth using where there are particularly high corrosion resistance requirements. Where this is not the case, self-tapping bi-metal panel screws, such as the 7570 screw, are easier to use as no pre-drilling is required.
What screw length do I need for my panel?
The length depends on the panel thickness. With lengths ranging from 50 to 260 mm, the screw is suitable even for very thick panels. We’d be happy to help you determine the correct length.
