Product description

The 7654 screw is a fully stainless steel screw designed for fixing profiles and sandwich panels to a timber substructure. It is not self-tapping and requires pre-drilling, but offers the highest level of corrosion resistance. With lengths ranging from 50 to 260 mm, it covers the widest range of thicknesses in the entire screw range.

for fixing profiles / sandwich panels to timber substructures

Typical applications

The 7654 screw is used wherever maximum corrosion resistance is required on a timber structure. Typical applications include:

  • Fastening of sandwich panels and profiles to timber substructures
  • Applications with increased requirements for corrosion resistance
  • particularly thick panels, thanks to lengths of up to 260 mm
  • Outdoor applications and indoor areas with high humidity

The screw is designed as an A2 all-stainless-steel screw with a hexagonal head (SW 8) and a support thread, featuring an A2 sealing washer and a thread diameter of 6.5 mm. It is not self-tapping; pre-drilling is required. It is available in lengths of 50, 64, 75, 90, 100, 115, 130, 150, 175, 200, 220, 240 and 260 mm. It is approved for use on roofs with or without a cap.

When should you choose this screw?

The 7654 screw is the right choice when maximum corrosion resistance from solid stainless steel is required, or when particularly thick panels up to a length of 260 mm need to be fixed. If a self-tapping bi-metal screw is sufficient, the 7565 screw for timber is the easier-to-use alternative that requires no pre-drilling. If the supporting structure is made of steel, the 7570 or 7575 screws are recommended. You can find an overview of all screws in the ‘Screws’ category.

Frequently asked questions

What does ‘all-stainless steel’ and ‘non-self-tapping’ mean?

‘All-stainless steel’ means that the entire screw is made of stainless steel, which offers the highest level of corrosion resistance. ‘Non-self-tapping’ means that a pilot hole must be drilled before driving the screw in, as the screw does not have a self-tapping tip.

How does screw 7654 differ from 7565?

Both are used to fix panels to timber. The 7654 is made of solid stainless steel with the highest corrosion resistance, but requires pre-drilling. The 7565 screw is self-tapping and therefore easier to use. The choice depends on the corrosion requirements.

What screw length do I need for my panel?

The length depends on the panel thickness plus the required anchorage depth in the timber. With lengths ranging from 50 to 260 mm, the screw is suitable even for very thick panels. We’d be happy to help you determine the correct length.

Is the screw suitable for corrosive environments?

Thanks to its all-stainless-steel construction, the screw is particularly suitable for outdoor applications and indoor areas with high humidity. It is approved for use on roofs with or without a cap.
