Product description
The 7530 screw is a self-tapping bi-metal drill screw with a hexagonal head, designed for fastening trapezoidal sheet metal to particularly solid steel beams. With its robust drill tip, it is designed for steel thicknesses of 6 to 10 mm and has been tested to drill up to 12.5 mm. This makes it the strongest hexagon head screw in this series.
Hex Bimetal Self-Tapping Screw A2
SW 8
Drill point No. 5
Sealing washer A2
for fixing profiled sheet metal to steel substructures
Drilling capacity ∑ ≤ 12.5 mm / – tested in accordance with approval 6.0 – 10.0 mm –
Typical applications
The 7530 screw is used wherever profiled sheets need to be fixed to solid steel beams. Typical applications include:
- Fastening of trapezoidal sheets to particularly thick steel beams
- Use on walls and roofs
- Outdoor applications and indoor areas with high humidity
- Support structures with beam thicknesses between 6 and 10 mm
The screw is designed as an A2 self-tapping bi-metal screw with a hexagonal head (SW 8) and No. 5 drill point, with an A2 sealing washer. It is available in a length of 40 mm and is designed for steel thicknesses of 6 to 10 mm; its tested drilling capacity extends up to 12.5 mm. For roof applications, it is approved with or without a cap.
When should you choose this screw?
The 7530 screw is the right choice when a hexagon screw is required for particularly solid steel beams measuring 6 to 10 mm. For medium-thickness beams of 3 to 5 mm, the 7520 screw is suitable; for a wide range of thicknesses, the 7510 screw is recommended. If you prefer the UFO design for thick beams, the 7130 screw is the equivalent. You can find an overview of all screws in the ‘Screws’ category.
Matching products
The 7530 screw is used in conjunction with profiled sheets. Suitable products:
- Trapezoidal sheets for roofs and walls: Trapezoidal sheet range.
- Cap heads for roof applications where the screw is positioned in the high rib.
- Screws 7510 and 7520 as hexagonal variants for thinner steel beams: Screw 7510 and Screw 7520.

Frequently asked questions
How does the 7530 screw differ from the 7510 and 7520?
All three are hexagonal bi-metal screws for steel, but differ in the permissible beam thickness. The 7530 is designed for solid beams from 6 to 10 mm, the 7520 for 3 to 5 mm and the 7510 for a wide range from 0.63 to 7 mm.
What steel thickness is the screw suitable for?
The 7530 screw is intended for steel thicknesses of 6 to 10 mm; its tested drilling capacity extends up to 12.5 mm. It is therefore suitable for solid steel substructures.
What lengths is the screw available in?
The 7530 screw is available in a length of 40 mm with washers in 16, 19 or 22 mm. The correct choice depends on the sheet metal profile and the substructure. We’d be happy to advise you on this.
Do I need a dome head on the roof?
For roof applications, the screw is approved for use both with and without a cap. A cap is used when the screw is positioned in the high rib to improve the bearing surface. We’d be happy to advise you on the appropriate design.
