Product description
The external corner profile covers the vertical external edge where two wall surfaces meet. It visually connects the adjacent wall elements and protects the exposed corner from the elements. This creates a neat, seamless finish at every external corner of the building.
- Connection of wall and ceiling elements to and with one another in external areas such as halls, cold stores...
- External cladding of vertical corner walls
Material: 0.75 mm galvanised sheet steel, 25 µm PE-coated
Typical applications
The external corner profile is used wherever two wall surfaces form an outward-facing corner. Typical applications include:
- external cladding of vertical corner walls
- Connection of wall and ceiling elements in external areas
- External corners of halls, commercial and warehouse buildings
- External edges of cold stores and temperature-controlled buildings
The profile is made of 0.75 mm thick galvanised sheet steel with a 25 µm PE coating and is available in the colours RAL 7016, 8012, 9002, 9006 and 9007. This allows it to be selected to match the colour of the wall panels.
When should you choose this profile?
The external corner profile is the right choice for wall corners facing outwards. For an inwards-facing corner, on the other hand, the internal corner profile is intended. When it comes to the lower wall edge or covering cut-outs, the U-profile is the right component. You can find an overview of all profiles in the ‘Edge Profiles’ category.
Matching products
The external corner profile is installed together with wall panels. Suitable products include:
- Wall panels in the desired thickness, such as the 40mm wall panel or the 60mm wall panel. You can find the full range under ‘Sandwich Wall Panels’.
- Screws for fixing the edge profiles, such as the 7550 screw, which is specifically designed for edge profiles.
- The matching counterpart for internal corners: the internal corner profile.
You can find an overview of all accessories in our Accessories section.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between external and internal corner profiles?
The external corner profile covers an outward-facing wall corner, whilst the internal corner profile covers an inward-facing one. Both are used on most buildings, depending on the position of the corner.
In what lengths and colours is the profile available?
The profile is available in lengths of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 metres, as well as in the colours RAL 7016, 8012, 9002, 9006 and 9007. We manufacture lengths of 2.5 metres or more on request.
Is the profile also suitable for cold rooms?
Yes. The external corner profile is also used in the interior fit-out of cold stores to neatly join and cover wall and ceiling elements at the corners.
What screws do I need for fixing?
Screw 7550 is suitable for fixing edge profiles. The correct choice depends on the substrate; we’d be happy to advise you on this.
